Stories of Woodstock
Woodstock is not just one story – it’s 450,000 stories! And we want to hear them all. April 5-8, the museum at Bethel Woods, the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, and Comfest, the longest running community festival in the country, are partnering to gather the stories of Woodstock. Did you go to Woodstock? Or know someone who did? Then they want to hear from you!
It’s quick and easy to do. Email oralhistory@bethelwoodscenter.
Since the beginning of the oral history initiative in 2020, the Museum has been deeply committed to the collection and preservation of stories from the people who know Woodstock best. In 2022, the Museum was awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to take this initiative to the next level. Throughout 2023, Museum curators are travelling the country to capture these unique stories.
The Museum at Bethel Woods is coming to Columbus, Ohio April 5-8. Appointments are now open.
