“I’m just trying to be as punk rock as Tom Butler.”
– Grayson Kelly, 2019
Grayson may never be as punk rock as Tom Butler, but at least he works at CD 92.9 FM with Tom Butler. A CD 92.9 FM listener since his childhood in Granville, Grayson’s favorite DJs inspired him to pursue his love of radio at The Ohio State University. He quickly started running the online college radio station, AROUSE OSU, and caught the ears of CD 92.9 FM.
Grayson’s dream came true in late 2018, when he started as a weekend DJ at CD 92.9 FM. Brian Phillips has since dubbed him “the most handsome man in radio.” But, as Grayson will tell you, the most important accolade came when Tom called him “buddy.”
One of Grayson’s greatest passions is sharing music with you on the radio. When he’s not on the air, Grayson enjoys professional cycling, trivia, and virtual air traffic control. And, like Laura Lee, Grayson loves the Columbus Blue Jackets! When he’s not listening to CD 92.9 FM, Grayson usually can be found jamming to Parquet Courts, The Worn Flints, Jack White, Zoo Trippin’, or the late, great Charles Bradley.
