6/11/23: Silly Sundays “I Lift Weights”

It’s Sunday! It’s the day of rest. Or is it? For those of us who work through the week, Sunday represents the last day of freedom from work as Monday looms over us. Those in food service are still reeling from Saturday and are preparing to deal with the busiest day that everyone requests off. People in retail still have crowds on Sundays too. All around, it’s kind of a stressful day.

So Sundays on the CD 92.9 blog are going to be just a little bit silly. We’re trying to remind you not to take life too seriously. We’ve got a funny song for you that we might not be able to play on the air.

Today on Silly Sunday, we’ve got the new single from Eshu Tune (Hannibal Buress) featuring David R. Trask. 

Hannibal Buress decided to pursue a music career last year, and has been rapping under the name “Eshu Tune.” While the music isn’t comedy music per se, “I Lift Weights” is undeniably chuckle-worthy, particularly when the video features Buress in a Caucasian muscle suit.
