Friday Album Releases:

  • Japanese House release In the End It Always Does. Written in 2021, the album is said to be inspired by relationships gained and lost over the years.
  • Nothing But Thieves release Dead Club City.
  • Lucinda Williams’ Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart is also out Friday.
  • Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” is also out Friday.

In case you haven’t had a chance to check out our events calendar, here are the events coming up this week:

  • Just a few days left to check out the “Interwoven” event taking place at Riffe Gallery all the way through July 7th. This event is a celebration of fiber and the many forms it takes. Artists included utilize fiber to “explore topics such as contemporary culture, personal narratives, influences, and emotions that lie just below the surface of our consciousnesses.”


  • Experience BAM Thursdays at the Columbus Museum of Art. Enjoy live music, great art, delicious bites, vendors and fresh libations in their garden space, as well as free general admission to the gallery from 5-9 pm.
  • On Thursdays, you can catch Vinyl: A Very ’80s Musical over at Shadowbox Live! If you miss it Thursday, no worries! You can catch the matinee on Sunday at 2 pm.


  • METRIC JOIN US IN THE BIG ROOM ahead of their show at the Newport Music Hall with openers Summore.
  • Shadowbox Live! presents Body Language, a sketch comedy and musical experience.
  • Check out Baker’s Acres in Alexandria for their “Not Quite All Night” Sale/Extravaganza! Get 20% off a huge selection of plants, plus experience beer tastings, food trucks and a dessert vendor!




  • You simply must join Not-So-Grand Marshall Brian Phillips for the 40th annual Doo Dah Parade. Celebrate liberty and Lunacy on the 4th of July. The Good Witch of the [Short] North would even look kindly on you either for watching or being in the parade! There’s no entry fee, and no pre-registration, you just show up!
