Album Releases: A few releases coming up this week, not all of them on Friday:

• The Dead Milkmen are releasing their first album in nine years tomorrow with Quaker City Quiet Pills.
• Friday sees the release of Squid’s O Monolith.
• Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit release Weathervanes. Early reviews are already praising it.
• Scottish indie rockers The View return with Exorcism of Youth, their first album since 2015.  
• Jenny Lewis is releasing Joy’All.
• Spoon are coming out with Memory Dust, a new EP on Tuesday.

Upcoming Events:

In case you haven’t had a chance to check out our events calendar, here are the events coming up this week:

• The “Interwoven” event is taking place at Riffe Gallery all the way through July 7th. This event is a celebration of fiber and the many forms it takes. Artists included utilize fiber to “explore topics such as contemporary culture, personal narratives, influences, and emotions that lie just below the surface of our consciousnesses.”

• K. Flay is visiting our CD 92.9 FM Big Room before her SOLD OUT show at Skully’s Music Diner tomorrow night! Listen in for a replay of her Big Room Performance at 3 pm.
• Experience BAM Thursdays at the Columbus Museum of Art. Enjoy live music, great art, delicious bites, vendors and fresh libations in their garden space, as well as free general admission to the gallery from 5-9 pm.
• Every Thursday, you can still catch Flower Power over at Shadowbox Live! If you miss it Thursday, no worries! You can always catch the matinee on Sundays at 2 pm.
• Hotel Fiction play The Basement with openers Cousin Simple and The Wonderlands.

• Alex from All Time Low visits our Big Room at noon, ahead of the All Time Low show at KEMBA Live! Friday night with openers Games We Play and Mayday Parade. Hear the playback of Alex’s Big Room performance on-the-air at 3 pm.
• Friday is the first night of Columbus Arts Festival on the downtown Riverfront. The Columbus Arts Festival powered by AEP runs 6/9-6/11 with over 300 artists exhibiting, and three stages for performance. MojoFlo play at 9 pm Friday.
• Sumbuck take the stage at the Newport Music Hall with opener Parker Louis.

• DEHD will be playing the CD 92.9 FM Big Room at noon before their show Saturday night at the Columbus Arts Festival. You can hear their Big Room set on-the-air at 3 pm.
• Columbus Summer Wine Festival (Downtown edition) will be taking place at McFerson Commons park. Enjoy a wine sampling, arts and crafts, and live music!
• O.A.R. play KEMBA Live! with openers The 502s.
• Paramore play The Schottenstein Center with openers Genesis Owusu and Bloc Party.

• Sunday is your last opportunity to explore the Columbus Arts Festival.
• Catch Frontstage Live and enjoy an early free show at The Big Room from 1-5 pm (doors at noon). This is the first of four showcases this year powered by White Claw. Acts Sunday are up-and-coming local artists Joe Camerlengo, Gunk, and Unseen Keys.
• The Cure make their Ohio tour stop at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls with opener The Twilight Sad. The show is SOLD OUT!
• Sparta play the Newport Music Hall with Geoff Rickly and Zeta.

• There’s only one place you should be on Monday, and that’s at KEMBA Live Outdoor! for the CD 92.9 FM Summer Kick-Off Show with The Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, and Bully!

• Dead & Company visit the Riverbend Music Center on their final tour.
• Joseph plays the Newport Music Hall with openers Sawyer.

• Celebrate 6-1-4 Day at The East Market with CD 92.9 FM! Join the Scene Team and Grayson Kelly for a celebration of Columbus, Ohio that you won’t forget!
