Fun Size Trending Topics September 23, 2021. His Name? St. Dangerous Of Course CD929

Today is opening day for the official baseball season. As such, WWCD Radio staff have all picked what our baseball walk-up songs would be.

Brian Phillips (Seattle Mariners fan) – “Love Me Like a Reptile” by Motörhead
Brian says: “It’s really pretty simple. The song has one of the all time monster riffs… Any pitcher would quake with fear upon hearing it.”

Laura Lee – “Song 2” by Blur
“It’s a fun upbeat song that I think the crowd would get into and sing the WOOHOO part.” -Laura Lee, a long-suffering Milwaukee Brewers fan.

Tom Butler (lifelong Detroit Tigers fan) – “Jailbreak” by Thin Lizzy
“No real reason aside from that song rules.”

DJ Nate (a long-suffering Reds fan) – “For Whom the Bell Tolls” by Metallica

Adam Latek  – “Radio Nowhere” by Bruce Springsteen
Childhood walk-up song: “Back in Black” by AC/DC
“And I am a life-long (well, since 1994) die-hard Cleveland Guardians fan, the child of two life-long (Dad since 1959, Mom since the mid-to-late ’60s) die-hard Cleveland Guardians fans. (Quick aside, what a fantastic name “Guardians” is! My family seriously LOOOOVES the name!) Our family vacations when I was growing up were always planned around following the Guardians and visiting new ballparks we’d yet to see.”

Just Emma – “Rebel Rock Me” by Pretenders
Just Emma knows so little about baseball that she can’t stop calling these “walk-out songs.”

Rudy G – “Smart Mouth” by CNTS
“Go Cincinnati Reds!”

Mike Cash – “I Walk the Line” by Johnny Cash
Mike says: “Double entendre being WALK the line (a baseball action) and CASH. Besides, it’s a badass opening guitar riff. Go Reds!”

Randy Malloy – “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath

Stay tuned for more Staff Picks!
